Coen & Company founder Wendy Coen reported to work in the Governor’s Press Office in Tallahassee on a cool September morning 15 years ago – her first job out of college.
That day, the State of Florida responded to an international crisis with potentially devastating economic implications to the state’s tourism industry. That day, it was trial by fire for Wendy – and she hasn’t looked back since.
Since then, Wendy has continued as a rising star in both public and private sector communications. She served as Deputy Press Secretary for Florida’s Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal publicizing insurance fraud and arson arrests statewide. She advised Hawaii’s Lieutenant Governor as Communication Director and promoted important initiatives involving disaster preparedness, teacher quality and reducing government waste.
She has represented domestic and international travel and hospitality clients including the Florida Division of Tourism and Air Jamaica Vacations, among other notable organizations.
Today, Wendy orchestrates Coen & Company operations in Miami. When she’s not on the clock, she likes to relax with her husband and daughter.
